This Is It.....No, It Really Is

So when this Michael Jackson movie came out, I really had no desire to see it. Don't get me wrong, I love MJ, but I was just over all of it and figured this was just another way for people to make money off of him. Well, my friend Meghan asked if I wanted to go on Friday. I whined a little and suggested we see something else, but eventually surrendered. She used the famous line of "Oprah liked it," so I went with it, because Oprah hardly ever fails me.

I am happy to admit that it was fantastic! The movie was basically what his concert would have been if it had happened. And let me tell you, it would have been epic. It's not really about his life or anything, it was just what people would want to see, MJ preforming his best songs. No matter what anyone says, the man could sing AND dance just like he did 25 years ago. AMAZING!

If you love MJ, you should definitely go see it.

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween! Mine was great and my mom had the house looking awesome as usual! So fun to see all the little kids dressed up!

  1. haha! The Oprah line totally works on me too! I'm glad it was so good, I'll def have to check it out!

  2. I usually agree with Oprah too.
    My mom liked it too!

  3. Between Oprah's endorsement and yours, I'm sold.

  4. I so want to see this... and from what I have heard/read, it's a total shame that concert didn't ever see its heyday, because it was going to be amazing! I can't wait to scope this out. It sounds fantastic. :)

  5. thanks for the review on this movie, I was on the fence on if I wanted to see it!

MJ was my tween heart throb...awe ya sista, I wanted to marry him and have babies with him, as I grew up and he grew stranger, the crush wore off; however my admiration for his talent did not and has not!

    Sassy Chica

  6. I definitely want to check this out. The hubs isn't up for it. Ah ha

  7. Oh my... I seriously get goosebumps when I think about how amazing it was! S and I went and saw it two nights ago, it was great.
I can't believe how good he actually looked... his love and passion for his music, his kindness and compassion for the people around him.

Great movie! (I agree I had many of the same fears as you too!)

    Good work Oprah ;)

  8. now i want to see it!! i love MJ songs!!
maybe my sis will go with me. would it be weird if we sang along!? ;)

  9. Isn't it funny how we automatically rely on Oprah?! She's fabulous! I've heard such great things about this film as well, I'll add it to my list!

  10. thanks for the review. i was not going to see it but maybe i will now.
